In the First Zemun Gymnasium in the second half of the last century, mathematics, an unpopular subject for a large number of students, was taught by the beloved, brilliant professor Vladimir Burcov, for us students Burcika. Students who loved mathematics loved it even more because of Burcika, and those who didn't have it as their favorite still waited for his class without fear and with pleasure. On the first math class in the first grade, he told us a sentence that we all remembered for a lifetime. Not only did he often repeat it, even when we were parting with the gymnasium and the professor at the prom, but the reminder of it greatly facilitated further learning, as well as other things in life.
