Sweden Bans Anti-Aging Products for Girls
Experts in Sweden will introduce age restrictions for anti-aging skin care, as part of a growing concern across Europe about the potential harmful effects on children who increasingly use such products. One of the leading pharmacies in this Scandinavian country has already decided to stop selling 'advanced skin care' products to children under 15, as well as all creams and preparations containing ingredients such as AHA acid, BHA acid, vitamin A, vitamin C, and enzymatic peels. This decision followed publicly available reports of a skincare boom among children under 13 in Sweden, fueled by social media posts. According to available data, 20-40% of the customers for these products of a Swedish brand are under 13 years old.
