Activities for the construction of the 'Bistrica' pumped-storage hydroelectric power plant, one of the most important strategic energy projects crucial for the energy future of Serbia and the region, are intensifying. The preparation of technical documentation is in its final phase, the first tender for preparatory infrastructure works has been announced, and following the Serbian Government's decision to establish public interest for the expropriation of land and facilities, discussions with representatives of the municipalities of Nova Varoš and Priboj, where this energy facility with a capacity of around 660 megawatts will be built, have been activated.
