At the 15th European Girls' Mathematical Olympiad, held in Bordeaux, Serbia won sixth place in the team competition, and student Vanja Jelovac from the Mathematical Gymnasium in Belgrade won a gold medal, student Nina Šušić from the same school won a silver, and Irina Stanišić from the First Kragujevac Gymnasium won a bronze medal.

Professor Doctor Dragoljub Veličković passed away on April 9, 2026. Dragoljub Veličković was born on August 26, 1943, in Lopardince (Bujanovac municipality). He graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy, Department of Russian Language and Literature, in Priština. He completed specialist studies in 1975 at the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade, defending his specialist work 'Interference in the alignment of sentence parts in the Russian language'.
