Pro-government says Partizan’s crisis deepened after Čukarički’s 2–0 win
Čukarički turned a closely watched Belgrade derby into another setback for Partizan, while differing accounts focused both on the visitors’ clinical finishing and the angry reaction from the home crowd. The result leaves Partizan searching for answers as its winless run continues.
Partizan suffered a 2–0 home defeat to Čukarički in the 13th round of the Serbian SuperLiga, extending its run without a victory to three matches. Čukarički, meanwhile, has gone four games without a win, but secured a decisive result in Humska.
The visitors created the first major opening in the fourth minute, when Uroš Miladinović broke clear but chose to shoot instead of passing to an unmarked teammate. Partizan later threatened through Nikola Čumić, whose effort was saved by Čukarički goalkeeper Miloš Čarapić.1
Čukarički took the lead in the 34th minute. Milan Đoković headed in from close range after a free-kick delivery by captain Marko Docić. Docić was forced off with an injury shortly afterward, but the visitors doubled their advantage in first-half stoppage time when Đoković again scored with a header, this time from a corner.2
The two goals left Partizan facing a difficult second half. Coach Saša Ilić responded by making four substitutions at the interval, introducing Baba, Koyzek, Zubairu and Milovanović. Koyzek then forced a save early in the half, while Kostić sent another effort wide, but Partizan could not find a way back into the match.1
The scoreline also produced a sharp reaction in the stands. One report described whistles and insults directed at the players, with supporters confronting them as they left for halftime.3 Another account emphasized that fans booed the team before the interval, citing Partizan’s lack of chances and Čukarički’s superior opportunities.4
Partizan next hosts Zemun, while Čukarički travels to IMT.
