SOME SPECIES CAN GO DIRECTLY INTO THE SUN, FOR OTHERS IT'S STILL TOO EARLY: When to take flowers out onto the terrace?
Although winter is still calendar-wise ongoing, these days we have more sun and pleasant weather, which is why those among us who especially pride themselves on their flowers already want to take them outside. Is it too early to arrange pots on balconies?

- Wait until after the last frost to bring flowers outside, typically mid-April for hardy types and mid-May for sensitive ones.
- If night temperatures regularly drop below 5°C, most flowering plants are not ready for outdoor conditions.
- Hardy plants like pansies, primroses, daisies, and some perennials can tolerate cooler temperatures and light frost.
- Sensitive plants such as geraniums, petunias, begonias, and fuchsias should only be moved out when nights are consistently warm, usually in the second half of May.
- Acclimate plants gradually to the sun. Move them out on a cloudy day and keep them in partial shade for the first few days to prevent leaf burn and stress.
