Čim sam čuo da je skočio, utrčao sam u čamac. Negde na sredini Dunava primetim nešto u vodi... ". Da li je granje, šta li je?", pomislim. Kako sam se približio na dva-tri metra, ugledao sam obrise lica ispod površine. Samo su mu usta i nos bili iznad vode, sve ostalo bilo je potopljeno. Bio je gotovo bez svesti, hipotermija je već počela. Samo sam se molio bogu da stignem na vreme, da ne potone tu, pred mojim očima!"
