On the Loznica Partisan Cemetery, the Victory Day in World War II, May 9, and the 81st anniversary of the victory over fascism were marked by laying wreaths. Wreaths were laid by the delegation of the City of Loznica, the Serbian Army - Barracks 'Sub-lieutenant Momčilo Gavrić' in Klupci, the City Committee of SUBNOR, the 'Vuk Karadžić' Cultural Center, and several associations, and a wreath from the Russian Embassy was also laid. A minute of silence was observed in honor of the fallen fighters, and the assistant mayor Milan Jugović said that an 'exceptionally significant date is being marked, not only for the Serbian people but for all of humanity, when Nazi Germany was officially and definitively defeated on the territory of Europe.'
