New Life for Milovanović Villa
Užice – Villagers of small Ribešina in the Užice region called it Milovanović villa, after Mihailo Milovanović, a painter for the Serbian Supreme Command in the Great War. He built this building of peculiar beauty in his homeland in 1930, not suspecting that he would use the house for only a decade. During World War II, at the end of the Užice Republic in 1941, partisans accused and executed him without proof for alleged espionage.
