Apologies for Šapić!
Everything would have been different if Marko Vidojković and I had not hosted Aleksandar Šapić in late May 2017 in the first season of our political spaghetti western show Dobar, loš, zao on Televizija Šabac. For this, I particularly apologize to the water polo public in Serbia in my own name.

TL;DR
- The author regrets hosting Aleksandar Šapić in 2017, believing it indirectly led to the creation of VK Novi Beograd and subsequent issues in Serbian water polo.
- Šabac's water polo club was an example of successful local development, funded by municipal bonds, which resulted in a city free of non-swimmers.
- The article alleges that Šapić and Slobodan Soro are destroying Serbian sports, particularly water polo, by forming 'instant clubs' and disrespecting national team players.
- Revolt among national team players, excluding those from Šapić's club, led to their departure from the national team.
- The author criticizes the Serbian president's perceived bias towards loyalists and disparagement of successful figures like Dejan Bodiroga and Novak Đoković.
- The article concludes that Šapić and his allies are systematically destroying institutions, with water polo being the latest victim due to "sick ambitions and a desire for significance."
