Kompleks hramova Karnak nedaleko od Luksora najveći je religijski lokalitet na svetu, poređenja radi samo u glavni hram Amon Ra moglo bi da stane 10 evropskih katedrala. Nalazi se u neposrednoj blizini Luksora, a skoro 1.500 godina gradili su ga svi vladari od Srednjeg do Novog kraljevstva od oko 2000. pa do 30 godine p.n.e.
