VERY STRONG EARTHQUAKE HIT THAILAND!
An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.5 on the Richter scale hit Thailand today, the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) announced.

- A 6.8 magnitude earthquake hit the north coast of Borneo, Indonesia, with an epicenter at 633 km depth.
- A 6.1 magnitude earthquake was recorded near New Zealand's Kermadec Islands, at a depth of 197 km.
- There is currently no information on injuries or damage from the Thailand earthquake.
- The Kermadec Islands are located near a deep oceanic trench formed by the subduction of tectonic plates.
