Jedanaestogodišnja Džeklin „Mimi“ Tores-Garsija iz američke savezne države Konektikat pronađena je mrtva 8. oktobra u podrumu napuštene kuće, a obdukcija je pokazala da je u trenutku smrti u njenom stomaku bila samo jedna borovnica. Prema izveštaju Kancelarije glavnog sudskog veštaka, devojčica je bila u stanju teške neuhranjenosti.
