Elmedin Konaković's Obsessive Fixations
Diplomacy is, in theory, the art of negotiation, restraint, and what old schools called the dignity of the state you represent. However, what we had the opportunity to witness at the panel 'Building Peace in the Balkans: Dialogue, Business, and Networking,' held within the diplomatic forum in Antalya, was not diplomacy but a classic display of brute force, packaged in a format resembling a cheap reality show. The main protagonist of this performance was Elmedin Konaković, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who decided to use the prestigious podium not to solve regional challenges, but to vent personal frustrations and settle scores with official Belgrade.
