Petrov: The 1992 Constitution of the FRY as a Good Example from the Past

34 years have passed since the adoption of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia in 1992 – which was the topic of discussion at a Round Table held yesterday at the Institute of Comparative Law. "The Constitution of Žabljak, as this document is also called, is somewhat neglected in Serbian legal science. And precisely in it, in all those principles that we are researching, we can see the complexity in the relations between Serbia and Montenegro. It is often presented in an extremely simplified way in public, and here we try to find answers to the question of why and how to achieve the maximum of national and state interests, while respecting the sovereignty of other countries, without losing our population in Montenegro. With this event, we want to initiate and say that such round tables will be continuous," emphasized Dr. Miloš Stanić, acting director of the Institute of Comparative Law.
