In the last week of Great Lent, many citizens who haven't watched what they eat in previous weeks decide to abstain from fatty foods. Therefore, fish markets are well-stocked, and vendors have provided a rich offer of seasonal vegetables. A kilogram of zander costs around 1,400 dinars, catfish steaks are 1,600, and carp is 1,250. For those who don't have time to clean fish, cleaned trout is 1,000 dinars, and sea bream and sea bass are 1,700 each. Hake, depending on the type, costs between 450 and 650 dinars per kilogram. The rest of the market is changing colors – mostly green, orange, red... This indicates that spring has arrived on the stalls, along with greens, currently from greenhouses.
