Everyone needs oil, but investments are going into clean energy
Although the current oil crisis due to the war in the Middle East has proven that there are no alternatives to fossil fuels, and that wind, sun, water and other types of clean energy cannot be pumped into tanks, the latest data from the International Energy Agency show that the trend is still to invest more and more money in green kilowatts. A consolidated overview of investments in two energy groups (oil, gas, coal, on one hand) and (nuclear and other types of clean energy) shows that investments in the latter exceeded 2.1 trillion dollars last year, while oil is far behind, at around 1.1 for the period from 2015 to 2025.
