On this day, while Orthodox believers celebrate the feast of Saint Tryphon, Valentine's Day, also known as Saint Valentine's Day, is celebrated within the Western tradition. This holiday is dedicated to expressing love and affection, and is often celebrated by exchanging letters, romantic gestures, and watching love movies. However, in addition to the emotional dimension, February 14th is also accompanied by increased gift shopping, as well as crowds in stores. According to some historical interpretations, the roots of Valentine's Day can be traced back to Roman fertility festivals.
