"Loss is smoothed over with subsidies": GSP reduced its deficit last year, but with 6.7 billion dinars of city and state aid
Public Transport Company (GSP) "Beograd" finished last year with yet another loss in a row, but significantly smaller than in 2023 and 2024. This result was achieved thanks to generous subsidies, not only from the City but also from the state.

TL;DR
- GSP "Beograd" ended the last year with a net loss of approximately 385 million dinars, a decrease from nearly 2 billion dinars in the previous year.
- This reduction in loss was achieved despite public transport in Belgrade becoming free for all citizens from January 1st of the previous year.
- The company received significant financial support, totaling 6.7 billion dinars, from the City of Belgrade and the Republic of Serbia.
- Despite operational profit, financial expenses, primarily interest payments, led to the net loss.
- GSP also saw a decrease in its workforce, losing around 400 employees last year.
