High-speed railway to Budapest ready, test runs underway
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić stated yesterday that he expects the station building in Novi Sad to be completed by September, and the station building in New Belgrade by the end of the year. 'We have a huge number of people using the New Belgrade station, not just from New Belgrade, but also those nearby – Čukarica, Savski Venac, and so on,' said Vučić during a tour of the construction of the railway line, which, as part of the 'Expo' project, will connect the city center with Nikola Tesla Airport and the National Stadium in Surčin. He emphasized that for the first time, the airport will be connected to the center of Belgrade.
