"We don't have a zoo, we don't bathe elephants": A three-member family in Ledine received a bill for 114 cubic meters of water
Even if every member of a three-person household flushes the toilet 10 times a day, bathes twice a day, showers twice a day, and both the washing machine and dishwasher are run twice a day every day, the monthly water consumption would not reach even 50 cubic meters, let alone the 114 that Beogradski vodovod charged a Belgrade family on their February Infostan bill. "We don't have a zoo and we don't bathe elephants," says a N1 reader indignantly, showing us the bills.

TL;DR
- A three-member family in Belgrade was billed 114 cubic meters of water for February, an amount they deem impossible to have used.
- The family states that even with high usage estimates, their consumption would not reach 50 cubic meters per month.
- They have been unable to get their water meter separated from three other apartments, despite repeated requests to Infostan and Beogradski vodovod.
- Other households sharing the same water meter have also received significantly increased bills.
- The family's monthly bills have risen from approximately 4,000 dinars to over 16,000 dinars.
- Beogradski vodovod stated that media inquiries are handled by the Secretariat for Information, which has not yet responded.
