Petrov: I will respect the Venice Commission, but they will not silence me in the fight for the rule of law

The President of the Constitutional Court, Vladan Petrov, reacting to the request of non-governmental organizations to the Venice Commission to examine the compliance of his actions with established principles of conduct, emphasized that he will respect all potential proceedings that would be conducted against him before that commission, as well as any decision or measure if it is made, and stated that he will not be silenced in the fight for the rule of law and democracy, even at the cost of losing his membership in the Venice Commission and his position in the Constitutional Court.
