Vučić Presents Package of Measures to Defend Serbia's Energy Stability

Following an urgent extended session of the National Security Council dedicated to the energy situation and security challenges, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić presented a package of measures by which the state seeks to mitigate the impact of the global energy crisis on the domestic market, preserve supply stability, and protect public finances in the coming months. The focus of his address was the message that Serbia currently has enough fuel and gas, that there is no reason for panic, but also that the state is facing extremely difficult circumstances on the world market, which is why it will be forced to bear a serious fiscal burden in the short and medium term to protect citizens and the economy.
