TL;DR
- Bajina Bašta is switching its city heating plant from coal to biomass.
- This transition is expected to improve air quality and the environment.
- The state continues to invest in infrastructure, nature protection, and sustainable development in the area.
- Plans include extending the use of biomass to other public institutions and households by 2026.
- The Ministry of Environmental Protection has provided 80 million dinars in subsidies for the National Park over three years.
- Investments have also been made in road infrastructure, lighting, and waste management systems.
