TL;DR
- Police successfully transported a heart from Niš to Belgrade in 1 hour and 15 minutes, covering 250 km in adverse weather.
- The organ donation initiative involved a family who, despite their grief, consented to donating organs from a deceased relative.
- The donation resulted in six transplants: heart, liver, both kidneys, and both corneas.
- The heart transport required extreme speed due to the limited time window for transplantation.
- The police interceptors faced heavy rain, fog, and sleet during the transport.
- The successful mission is attributed to the donor family's humanity and the swift action of the medical and police teams.
