The state will enable foreign students to acquire Serbian citizenship, to facilitate their stay and employment in Serbia after graduation, announced President Aleksandar Vučić at an event marking the 15th anniversary of the "World in Serbia" program. "I will do my best to enable those who have studied for many years, especially those who have studied successfully, not only to stay but also to reside here in Serbia and citizenship, so that they can live here. I will really do my best for this to be your free choice. We have nothing against you returning to your countries, but Serbia is also your country and you have spent a significant time in it," said Vučić, responding to African students who expressed their desire to stay and work in Serbia after studying here.
