2 Years Ago, The Worst News Arrived About The Missing Child: This Is What Happened The Day Danka Was Said To Be Murdered
We have bad news for little Danka from Bor. The police have arrested two individuals who committed the murder of little Danka, and as far as I understood, both have confessed to the act. These were the president's words, informing Serbia, on the tenth day of the search for the missing Danka Ilić, that the girl had been murdered. The suspects were arrested immediately, the child's body has not been found even a year later, and the situation regarding the confessions of the potential perpetrators has drastically changed. The indictment for murder has been filed twice and returned twice for reconsideration, so a clarification of the girl's disappearance does not seem imminent.

TL;DR
- President Vučić announced the arrest of two suspects who confessed to murdering Danka Ilić, with initial reports suggesting they hit her with a car and disposed of her body.
- Searches for Danka's body were conducted at a landfill and other locations, but the child's remains were never found.
- The suspects later retracted their confessions, and their accounts of the events differed significantly.
- Indictments have been filed and subsequently returned multiple times by the Appellate Court, with orders for expanded investigations and re-interrogations.
- Two years after the initial announcement, the case remains unresolved, with uncertainty about whether the suspects will face trial.
