- Reasons cited for the pause include seasonal weakness in demand during winter months.
- Oil prices have risen about 8% since early January, exceeding $66 per barrel, influenced by supply issues in Kazakhstan and geopolitical tensions.
- An 'Octet' within OPEC+ will review production levels on February 1st.
- OPEC+ had significantly reduced production in previous years due to weak demand and low prices.
- Production cuts amounted to 5.85 million barrels per day compared to early 2023.

- Full normalization of supply is expected by the end of the current year.
