Donald Trump could easily declare victory after more than three weeks of devastating air strikes on Iran. Provided that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard does not hold the 'keys' to the Strait of Hormuz in its hands, thereby keeping a good part of Asia and all of Europe in fear of running out of oil and gas. TL;DR
- US President Donald Trump delayed potential air strikes on Iran's power plants for five days, citing productive talks.
- Trump suggested negotiations were underway with new Iranian representatives.
- Iran's Foreign Ministry denied any negotiations, stating Trump's announcement was to lower energy prices and gain time for military plans.
- The Strait of Hormuz remains a point of contention, with Iran threatening to mine sea routes if a ground operation occurs.
- News of potential talks caused oil prices to drop significantly and stock markets to rally.
- Over 40 energy facilities in nine Middle Eastern countries have been damaged in the conflict.
