Who doesn't pay at the bridge, pays at the overpass
In the EU, the minimum excise duty per 1,000 liters for unleaded gasoline is 359 euros, and for diesel, it's 330 euros, while in Serbia, without temporary reductions, they are around 598 euros for gasoline and even 616 euros for diesel. The difference is even greater with 'excise taxes' on liquefied petroleum gas, as in the EU, it's 125 euros per 1,000 kilograms, while in our country, it's almost four times higher.
