Master of Oil and Gas Engineering Nebojša Obrknežev assessed today that the planned expenditures by the national strategy "Serbia 2030" for energy are extremely high and added that progress in this area can be seen only in a few years, and that it is important due to geopolitical events to firmly adhere to the first goal of the strategy - preserving peace and stability.

- The conflict in the Middle East has led to rising oil prices due to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
- The US, despite being a major oil and gas producer, also imports oil from the Persian Gulf.
- Alternative routes like the Yambu pipeline and northern routes have limited capacity.
- LNG is a significant factor in the current energy market.
- Countries like Japan, South Korea, and China are heavily impacted by oil price increases and supply disruptions.
