Pajić: Ten days after the blockade ended, the Ministry of Agriculture has essentially changed nothing

Milan Pajić, a farmer from the "Naše mleko" association, stated today for FoNet that ten days after the end of the blockades and the promises of the Ministry of Agriculture, essentially nothing has changed, nor has anything been initiated, but he does not see the will for a continuation of the blockade, especially now, in the midst of spring sowing.

Pajić: Ten days after the blockade ended, the Ministry of Agriculture has essentially changed nothing

TL;DR

  • Ten days after blockades ended, farmers see no change from Ministry of Agriculture promises.
  • Current milk purchase prices are unsatisfactory.
  • No immediate will or organization for further protests is seen, especially during spring sowing.
  • Farmers must continue planting and tending to livestock due to the living nature of agriculture.
  • Ministry's unfulfilled promises include aid with cheese inventory, placement in stores, discussions on levies, mandatory contracts, milk price correction, "100% from Serbia" labels, and increased tariffs on milk powder.
