Public call for per-hectare subsidies on Monday: Justification of funds with agricultural input receipts mandatory
The Serbian Ministry of Agriculture announced today that the Rulebook on the manner of exercising the right to basic subsidies in plant production has been amended, which precisely regulates the justification of subsidies per hectare.

TL;DR
- The basic subsidy for plant production remains 18,000 dinars per hectare.
- Farmers must justify the subsidy with receipts for agricultural inputs (seeds, planting material, mineral fertilizer, plant protection products).
- Receipts must be issued between August 1, 2025, and July 31, 2026, and used to justify subsidies by July 31, 2026.
- Electronic invoices require XML format; fiscal receipts must include farm ID number, JMBG, or company registration number.
- A public call for per-hectare subsidies begins on March 2nd and will be open for one month.
- Payments will be made immediately after request processing, even during the public call period.
- Any unjustified subsidy amounts must be returned.
