New dangerous scam in Serbia: This message from EPS and "Roads of Serbia" is fake, do not open it
Fake SMS messages, posing as official notifications from EPS and Putevi Srbije, are being widely sent to citizens' mobile phones in Serbia. Attackers are using sophisticated methods to convince you that you owe money for electricity or traffic fines. This is a direct attempt to steal your personal data and money from bank accounts through fake websites.

TL;DR
- Fake SMS messages impersonating EPS and Putevi Srbije are circulating in Serbia.
- Messages claim unpaid electricity bills (e.g., 15.3 dinars) or traffic fines, threatening service disconnection or vehicle registration issues.
- Scam links are often from foreign numbers (+63 for Philippines, +212 for Morocco) and lead to suspicious websites.
- Clicking 'Y' to activate links or providing payment card details on these sites can lead to data theft.
- Official Serbian institutions do not send such notifications via SMS from international numbers or via suspicious links.
- If you clicked a link and entered data, contact your bank immediately to block your card.
- Delete and mark these messages as spam to protect yourself.
