99 percent of this Serbian mountain is covered by forest: They call it the 'blue mountain' because of its numerous water springs
Between Kruševac, Prokuplje, Blace and Aleksinac, lies Veliki Jastrebac, one of the most forested mountains in the Balkans. An area of over 39,000 hectares was officially declared a Nature Park at the end of the year before last, in order to further protect its exceptional biodiversity and rare species, which are managed by 'Srbijašume', RTS reports.
