Termin koji je sve prisutniji u domaćim supermarketima i prodavnicama, je malo rogobatan, i zove se „šrinkflacija”. Jednostavnim rečima, šrinkflacija predstavlja svesno smanjivanje količine namirnice u pakovanju, koju kasnije proizvođači prodaju po istoj ceni stare (veće) gramaže ili zapremine.
