Japanese trick for easier painting
This technique speeds up the whole process and allows for very precise results
TL;DR
- The Suji-Kai is a special angled brush (30-50mm) designed to easily follow wall angles and edges.
- Dip the brush up to two-thirds full and remove excess paint from the inner rim of the container for even application.
- Hold the brush at a 45-degree angle and draw it in a single, continuous stroke of 40-60 cm for a perfect line.
- Paint the edges and corners first, then use a roller for the rest of the surface.
- This technique focuses on precise movement and tool control, leading to a cleaner, faster paint job.
- A 10 sq meter room can be completed in under 45 minutes, compared to 1.5 hours with tape.
