TL;DR
- Government promises average salaries of 1,400 euros and pensions of 650 euros by 2027.
- These targets represent a significant increase compared to the growth achieved over the previous thirteen years.
- Economic projections for GDP growth are cited as insufficient to support such salary and pension increases.
- The article questions the sustainability of foreign currency inflows, including foreign investments, state borrowing, and remittances.
- It points to a rising public debt burden, with significant amounts allocated to debt repayment and interest.
- The author suggests that a true measure of economic health lies in real economic growth, investment potential, and self-sufficiency, rather than just euro-denominated salary and pension figures.
