Njen otac Miodrag Kitanović tvrdi da je njegova ćerka u petak 9. januara nakon prvog pregleda puštena kući, ali da se ubrzo sve iskomplikovalo. Ministarstvo zdravlja je odmah poslalo inspekciju, a bolnica sprovodi sve interne procedure.
